CATC Women exists to help women encounter Jesus. We desire to see women gather to know God through the study of His Word, to encourage one another, and to spur one another to love and good works (Heb. 10:24-25) in our spaces of influence.
WHAT DOES THE LOGO REPRESENT?
UNITY IN DIVERSITY – 3 LEAVES, 1 BRANCH
CATC Women is for all women in all seasons. We want to see single and married, young and old, diverse ethnicities and backgrounds, the mom, the student, and the professional come alongside one another to be rooted and built up in Jesus (Colossians 2:7). We desire to experience unity in our diversity, for all are one in Christ (Galatians 3:28).
ABIDING IN JESUS
We desire for women to encounter Jesus, to abide in Him, and to bear fruit. Jesus told His disciples, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing," - John 15:5.
The veins in the leaves hint at the cross. Because Jesus died to reconcile us to himself, not counting our sins against us, we joyfully enter into the ministry of reconciliation. We are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us (2 Corinthians 5:18-20).
CATC WOMEN'S BIBLE STUDy
We will begin in the spring semester with a 3-part approach to Bible study:
- Guided study at home.
- Small group discussion.
- Large group teaching.
In October, we will release the official start date and time, as well as the book of the Bible that we will study together. Can’t wait to see you there!
In the early years of ministry, God kindled within Colleen a deep affection for studying and teaching the Scriptures. She deeply desires to see women anchor their hope in the God of the Bible as they get to know Him through the study of His Word. Colleen has been teaching Bible studies in the Dallas area for several years. She also speaks at women’s retreats and conferences throughout the year. She serves as Minister to Women at Church at the Cross in Grapevine, Texas. Her husband, Wes, is president of NEXT Worldwide, a mission organization that mobilizes high school and college students to plant churches around the world. She loves being the mom of her two teenage boys, Sam and Tate.
