Sent Saturday | For the Nations

The student ministry of Church at the Cross is teaming up with For the Nations on November 2nd to join in their efforts to help meet the practical needs of refugees and to share with them the gospel of Jesus Christ. Over the last several years For the Nations has developed high quality, effective educational programs and have shared the good news of Christ with many DFW area refugees. Their vision is to bring these proven programs to more and more of the area’s large refugee population. Want to spend your Saturday afternoon serving and sharing the gospel with displaced peoples from all over the world, right here in DFW? What kind of work will the team be doing?

Our team will assist leadership from For the Nations to help pull off a refugee outreach program in a Garland apartment complex. The program consists of crafts, bible lessons, and a variety of activities aimed at loving and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with refugee children and families at the apartment complex.

What if I have never served like this?

Not a problem! This is a great opportunity to start! The question is not if you are called, but to whom and to where you are called. Local mission opportunities like this are great ways to help prepare you for future mission trips nationally and internationally!

How will the team be transported?

Our team will transported in 15 passenger vans, driven by covenant member adults volunteers and staff (25+).

What about meals?

Lunch will be provided for the team.
