Kara Donaldson serves in Kenya as the Family Strengthening Coordinator with Kids Alive Intl. With a BBS in Missions and Psychology from Hardin Simmons University, she has spent the last 10+ years working with various faith-based, non-profit organizations both stateside and internationally. Though she most recently lived in Nairobi, Kenya for two years serving within the child welfare sector, Kara grew up at Church at the Cross and is based in Grapevine when stateside.

As an adoptee herself, Kara has a passion to see vulnerable children and families empowered to thrive and believes every child deserves a forever family. Her heart is for each child to know they are precious and loved; first, by their Father in Heaven no matter their story on Earth, and also cherished and valued within their family of community.

While based in Nairobi, Kara will work to better develop the reintegration program across four ministry sites and support our Country Director and Operations Manager. She will also manage story branding and social media, build KAI's network of partnerships within Kenya, and host international visitors and service teams.

"For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall again into fear; rather, you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God." Romans 8:15-16

"A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling. God sets the lonely in families, he leads out the prisoners with singing..." Psalm 68:6-7
