Are you struggling with …

finding people to have deeper conversations with or finding meaning to life?

The heart behind Alpha is to provide a safe and non-judgmental environment for individuals to explore the Christian faith. Participants are encouraged to ask questions, express doubts, and address past hurts, including church-related pain, without fear of judgment.


All are welcome. No question off limits.

No question is considered insignificant, and everyone is welcome to learn and process their experiences. The goal is to foster open dialogue and understanding, welcoming people from diverse faith backgrounds and perspectives to engage with Christianity and share their opinions on life. Ultimately, the aim is to discover purpose and meaning in the world through this enriching and inclusive journey.

How it works

  • This one is on the house!
    We meet in person with a chance to build friendships over dinner. Each week we provide a free meal from a local restaurant. You will be placed into a small group with leaders who help lead the conversation in a caring and kind way.

  • Each Alpha evening features a short film. These films explore the big issues around faith and unpack the basics of Christianity.

  • This is the heart of Alpha. Here, you can share your thoughts about faith and life and hear from others in your group about their beliefs. Feel free to say whatever you like or as little as you like, it’s up to you.

 
 

Join us in prayer for Alpha

As we prepare to launch Alpha this fall, we’re inviting our church family to join us in 21 days of intentional prayer. Alpha is a space where people can explore life’s big questions, share openly, and discover more about faith in a safe and welcoming environment.

Starting Tuesday, September 1, you’ll receive a daily text with specific prompts to guide your prayers—for those who will be attending Alpha, the conversations that will take place, and the lives that will be impacted this semester.

As he continued his pursuit of knowledge, he began reading the Bible to learn more about its foundational influence on Western Culture. Two years later, a significant relationship ended. He found himself profoundly aware of that missing element in his life. He dropped out of grad school and was in a state of poor mental health. Brenton described it as feeling “no sense of purpose or direction in my life.”

Rob's Alpha Story

Rob grew up in a church organization that soon made him feel like he needed to reject his faith. He pushed away from Christians and what they stand for. Josie, a CATC Member found herself in New York and crossed paths with Rob. As their friendship grew, she started talking about Jesus to Rob. Josie had previous exposure to Alpha while she was in New York. When she heard that her home church in Grapevine was doing Alpha, she jumped on the opportunity. Rob decided to attend Alpha online from New York with Josie. Rob was looking for a newfound mission, “I was looking for a mission and, amazingly enough, through God I found it.”
