Why Groups?
You were never meant to follow Jesus alone. Life Groups provide an intentional space for you and other Christians to encourage one another, to pray for one another and to serve one another.
The heartbeat of belonging and spiritual growth at
Church at the Cross is through our vibrant
communities, Life Groups.
Life Groups are the best way to be known and cared for at Church at the Cross. These spaces are where we laugh with one another, pray for one another, care for one another, and ultimately share our lives with one another.
Our goal is to help people move into these shared rhythms of life together and find deeper relationships. These groups also serve as the beginning point of forging deep discipleship bonds called Discipleship Groups.
When we embrace these rhythms of life, we flourish.
Spaces of Community
Different elements of spiritual formation happen in different community spaces. We have created 3 spaces to help community have maximum impact on our lives.
-
Sunday Gatherings
In these spaces, the whole church is brought together on a Sunday morning to be encouraged through preaching, singing, and communion -
Life Groups
Here we can know one another better and care for physical and spiritual needs. We can also invite our unbelieving friends and neighbors in to experience what it looks like to be redeemed by Jesus.
-
Discipleship Groups
This space meets needs that can only be accomplished in smaller groups. In Discipleship Groups, people can talk more in-depth about a portion of scripture, share their joys and struggles, confess sin, and encourage and pray for one another more deeply.

Discipleship Groups
A Discipleship Group is the smallest and most intentional discipleship space we offer. These groups are formed through relationships made within Life Groups and they exist to accomplish elements of discipleship that can’t happen in the larger setting of Life Group. Discipleship Groups are made up of 3-5 people in gender-specific groups that meet regularly outside of Life Group to intentionally pursue spiritual formation together.
