/Marginalized groups exist in every community. Their stories often get swept under the rug, forgotten, or minimized. By sharing these stories, we hope to cultivate compassion and equip the local church to better care for all people. This is Life Stories.
Amanda Stevens, Life Task Force Director at Church at the Cross Grapevine discusses the importance of the local church’s involvement with marginalized people groups. The Life Task Force exists to minister to the pre-born and their families, foster and adoptive families, and trafficking survivors. In this episode we discuss why being trauma-informed is vital for the Church worldwide. How the “Us vs. Them” mentality breaks down our ability to minister in helpful ways rather than harmful ways. We also discuss ways the Church can successfully transform to humbly serve all people.
