Students
/Over the past year we have seen the Lord work in many wonderful ways through our students, and we are thrilled to share those updates! This summer, 24 of our students and 7 adult leaders partnered with our church plant King’s Cross in Utah, serving in a heavily populated Mormon community. They helped run a VBS where children from both the church and the surrounding community came to hear the gospel and enjoy a week filled with fun. Our students also visited Temple Square in Salt Lake City, the global headquarters of the Mormon church, where they experienced firsthand a culture in desperate need of the true gospel. We pray that trips like these continue to grow our students’ compassion for the lost and their desire to see Jesus glorified among all people throughout the world.
We also had 45 students attend High School Camp and 55 students attend Middle School Camp, both centered on the theme Soli Deo Gloria, learning how the ultimate goal of their lives as Christians is to live for the glory of God. At these camps, students expressed faith in Jesus Christ for the first time, communicated desires to be baptized, and even shared their sense of calling to missions, all while building friendships and enjoying a variety of games and activities.
Since last August, our Sunday morning Life Groups have alternated weekly between Bible study in the Annex where students studied 1 Corinthians and 1 Peter, and lessons taught in the Student Center that provided a comprehensive overview of the biblical narrative. This structure has resulted in incredible growth, with an average attendance of over 100 students each Sunday morning. It has been a blessing to watch friendships form and grow while leaders within our church faithfully invest in these young lives and point them closer to Jesus.
Our Wednesday Midweek gatherings have also been a highlight, featuring teaching through 1 John, the Psalms, and discourses from the ministry of Jesus. Weekly attendance has averaged around 70 students with some evenings reaching into the 80s. This has truly been a remarkable season marked by students growing deeper in their faith, many responding in baptism, and the Lord continuing to bear fruit through this ministry.
Thank you for your prayers for these students and for the vital role you play in their lives!
