Care
/Christlike Compassion
Caring for one another is a vital part of our calling as Christ followers here at CATC. At some point, we are all going to need godly, Christian care. We have had lots of opportunities for care in the last year and have seen the Lord work in remarkable ways.
One of the most exciting aspects of Care Ministry is seeing so many people step out in faith to care for others. Most care begins in our Life Groups. Our Life Groups are usually the first to know about a care situation and the first to respond. This is one of our first lines of care here at our church. In addition, we are starting to grow teams and ministries that care for our church. Our women’s minister Kristin Ringe has launched a senior adult care ministry that is doing a great job loving on many of our senior adults. We are also in the process of building out other care ministry teams to be ready and available to serve our congregation.
This last year the Care Ministry has also been working on putting together a new Care Ministry program called Rooted. Rooted is an intensive discipleship environment that seeks to guide sinners, sufferers and strugglers to the life changing power of Jesus and the gospel. Although still being developed, we are hopeful for a church-wide launch sometime next year.
At CATC we strive to be holistic in our care ministry. Whether a couple is having their first baby, or someone receives a bad medical diagnosis, or someone is need of financial assistance or biblical counseling, the Care Ministry desires to be used by the Lord to meet needs and help people encounter Jesus.
