As we come to the end of the summer, I’m amazed at what has happened already in 2025 at Church at the Cross. God has been so kind to us and granted us his favor. Just consider some of the ways God has been at work among us in this year.
In February, our congregation set aside four days for an Awaken Conference to seek spiritual renewal for our personal lives and congregation. We sought the Lord in prayer for 48 hours leading up to those four days, and the Lord met with us. Our hearts were stirred for God, our faith was helped, and God grew our resolve to serve him with the fullness of our lives. Our elders believe that 48 Hours of Prayer and the Awaken Conference are going to be instrumental in the life of our Church. We look forward to doing it again next year.
Already this year, we had the privilege of seeing many people profess faith in Jesus and identify with his Church in baptism. Through Alpha, our Next Gen Ministry, our worship gatherings, and through the faithful witness of our people, we are seeing many people cross the line of faith and begin to follow Jesus. We are asking for more!
We sent out our third church planter, Casey Schutza, to plant Renewal City Church in Celina, TX. Nearly 20 of our people joined that team and relocated their lives to be on mission in Celina. We are excited to see many people in that place encounter Jesus.
We welcomed back our first graduates, N. and A., from the missionary training center we partner with and are preparing to send them as cross-cultural workers to an unreached language group in 2026. Our hope is that over the next two decades many would follow in their steps and commit their life to making Christ known among the nations.
Lastly, we appointed Mike Jones as our newest elder on our elder team. Mike is a godly man with a passion for the Church and a track record of service and wise stewardship of his gifts. He and his wife, Deb, are a gift to our church, and we look forward to benefiting from his leadership.
Time and space fail me to recount all the ways that God has shown his grace to us this year. From our church plants being given buildings, to our staff growing, to new missional partnerships forming, to a generous Easter Renewal Offering, we are amazed at God’s goodness to us. Thank you for being a part of this. Thank you for your participation, your generosity, your prayers, and your service. We are the Church together.

Ministry Updates
2024-2025 Budget
Dozens of people have been involved in the budget preparation process, including both staff and volunteers, all under the direction of our Finance Team. We take budget preparation very seriously because it guides our ministry focus over the coming year.
We have included a FAQ section (ADDDDDD ITTTTTTT) in this brochure. If you have other questions regarding our budget, financial procedures, or giving options, please contact our church office. Thanks again for your continued financial support of our ministries. May the Lord richly bless you.
